PERSONAL INTERVIEWS ARE REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT BY QSI.

5. QSI has openings for qualified administrators and teachers each year. Recruiting takes place throughout the year, but most hiring is done in January and February. QSI hires almost exclusively married teaching couples due to housing considerations and the remoteness of many of our cities. Exceptions are sometimes made for key administrative positions and hard-to-fill teaching positions. QSI hires only non-smokers.

Who We Are Looking For

QSI is looking for educators who sincerely love children. We are looking for educators who will do whatever it takes to help their students reach their learning goals. We expect our staff to be prepared to put in extra time to work with students who need help with their studies. We also want staff that will contribute to school community life and assist with after school activities.

We are looking for educators who know that a very large factor in a student’s education is their relationship with their teachers. We want educators who will make a real commitment to their students. Children need to know their teachers care about them, and we want educators who truly do care.

We want educators who will join us in commitment to the performance based / mastery learning approach to education. We believe that all students can be successful in learning. We want staff committed to finding the time and to giving students expanded opportunities to reach their learning objectives. We want our personnel to be creative, imaginative, and dedicated to success for our students.

QSI looks for people who can work well with others. We look for individuals who want to serve their community in a giving way. We look for educators who have an enthusiastic, positive, optimistic outlook on life. We want fun people with whom others get along easily. We want people who enjoy life to the fullest and want to share their enthusiasm with those around them.

QSI schools actively teach the success orientations of trustworthiness, responsibility, kindness/politeness, concern for others, group interaction, aesthetic appreciation, and independent endeavor. We need educators who model these success behaviors for QSI students. We expect our staff to have a strong personal moral code and to set good examples in our communities.

QSI schools are situated in fascinating locations. In most environments, one will come across challenges. QSI educators are flexible and have a tolerance for coping in places where things are not always the same as they are “back home". QSI staff are comfortable working outside a sheltered environment. They are stimulated by the challenges of living overseas in unusual countries. They know that challenges are overcome with optimistic attitudes and positive actions. QSI educators are people who enjoy being part of solutions rather than problems.

QSI is very interested in staff prepared to make a strong commitment to the organization and to each other. There are ample opportunities for qualified educators who would like to make a career with QSI. QSI educators can transfer after two years from one QSI school to another without losing benefits or going through a job search process. These educators will be working with a dynamic, growing, professional group that has a passion for excellence in education.
